The embattled Council for Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN) has finally scheduled its Council Members elections on the 16th of May 2018 after over four years without a Board.
According to a Press Release from the Registrar of the CRFFN, Mr Mike Jukwe, addressed to NAGAFF, signed by Dapo Olayoku, Secretary General reads.
“This is to inform all members of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) and especially those interested in contesting election into the Governing Council of the Council for the Regulation of Freight Forwarding in Nigeria (CRFFN), that the Council has released the time-table for the election, which will hold on Wednesday 16th May 2018 in Abuja.
“A release by the Registrar/CEO of the CRFFN Sir Mike Jukwe said collection of nomination forms by interested contestants commences on Monday April 23, 2018 and all duly completed forms must be returned to the CRFFN offices in Apapa – Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, Abuja not later than Friday May 4, 2018.
“According to the Registrar, screening of contestants will hold between Monday May 7 and Wednesday May 9, 2018 while the list of approved contestants will be displayed between Friday May 10, 2018 and Monday May 14, 2018.
“The release further states that election into the Governing Council will hold on Wednesday May 16, 2018 in Abuja, while the Governing Council will be inaugurated in Abuja on Friday May 25, 2018.
“We are therefore using this medium to call on all members and especially those interested in contesting elections into the Governing Council to be alert and proactive to responsibilities in this regard”.
