Why you must monitor your children, Lagos police chief tells Parents, Guardians

The commissioner of police Lagos State Command Edgal Imohimi has called on parents to monitor their children where they go and who they associate with.
This according to him, is because some hoodlums are using under age children as front to commit crimes.
Their modus operandi is to drag the innocent kids forward in crime scene, while they watch the operation if the children succeeded they go with the loots, if they fail, they flee and abandon the children to face the music.
This was the case in Ejigbo Area of Lagos. According to  the CP , operatives attached to Ejigbo police Divisional Headquarters arrested two teenagers aged between 13 and 14 years respectively (names withheld), they specialize in breaking into people’s shops in the dead of the night. Luck however ran out  on them, while burgling a shop at Block 937 Jakande Estate, Ejigbo and stole items such as one big generator valued at N15,000, one HP Laptop valued at  N90,000, one amplifier valued at N40,000 and CD Mixer valued at  N150,000   Their adult collaborators are : AdejagunBabatunde Male 27 years and LawalWasiu Male 20 years.
Adejagun Babatunde who was the receiver of the goods bought the stolen HP Laptop for N2000 only.
The Lagos police boss said the adult suspects will have their day in court while the child offenders will be handed over to gender session for appropriate punishment.
In the related development, operatives at Ejigbo police station on neighborhood patrol arrested one Ikechukwu Kalu Male 18 years old, he was caught red handed stealing a pumping machine at 77 Egbe Road, Ejigbo Lagos, property of one Pastor Fehintolu. The suspect will equally face the music at the law court.
The police also arrested cultists in various part of the states: Lekki Phase 1, Ajegunle and Epe, recovered from them are one locally cut to size pistol, 4 life cartridges and one battle axe.
The suspects who are members of Aye confraternity were arrested during a rival cult fight.
In line with the CP determination to rid Lagos of cultism said the police would not spare menace of cultist activities in the state.
