EXCLUSIVE: CG OF CUSTOMS TO REVERSE USE OF BARGES BAN

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service ( NCS), Col.Hameed Ali (rtd) is likely to reverse the ban on the use of Barges to convey containers through the waterways in Nigeria ports.

A credible source from the Customs had inform our Correspondent this morning.

It could be recalled that , the CG few days ago had placed the ban on the use of Barges to convey containers in Nigeria ports, sighting diversion of Containers to illegal terminals as the reason.

There was huge condemnation and outcry from stakeholders.
It seems the Customs boss with his listening ears has decided to suspend the ban.
