Police Redeploys Senior Officers

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali Baba, in line with the new Manpower Development Policy of the Nigerian Police Force on Tuesday ordered the postings and deployment of 24 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to Zonal Commands and formations.

Affected by the shakeup are former Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police (CP), Bala Ciroma, who was promoted to AIG last Monday, has been moved to Zone-7 Abuja. While AIG Usman Belel, AIG John Amadi and AIG Adeleke Adeyinka were posted to FCID Annex Lagos, Maritime Command and Zone 9 Umuahia respectively.

GALADANCHI, mn, iAIG ZONE 17 AKURE – AIG OKON ETIM ENE, mni, AIG BORDER PATROL FHQ ABUJA – AIG USMAN D. NAGOGO , AIG ZONE 7 ABUJA – AIG BALA CIROMA and AIG ZONE 9 UMUAHIA – AIG ADELEKE ADEYINKA BODE

The IGP has assured that the postings and redeployments of the senior Police Officers would further help in driving the new policing vision, which amongst other things, aimed at improving policing services across the country and effectively responding to security threats in the country.
