NWABUNIKE ASSURES AN LCA MEMBERS OF OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES DURING LAGOS LOCKDOWN

The National President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Iju Tony Nwabunike has called on all his members to remain calm while he carry out further consultations to work out the operational guidelines on activities in Nigeria ports as regards the national broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday evening.
President Buhari has ordered the total lockdown of Lagos , Ogun and the Abuja FCT as from 11pm on Monday 30th March 2020 for the first 14days.
He ,however said ports activities will continue.

In a short address to his members, Nwabunike said “In line with the latest directive of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammedu Buhari, GCFR, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, directing the seaports to remain operational in order to continue to handle essential cargoes, even during the 14-day lockdown order in Lagos, commencing at 11pm on Monday, March 30, 2020; we want to assure you that I am currently in consultation with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) top management to receive the approved operational guidelines for this lockdown period.
I expect to receive the full guidelines by tomorrow being Monday, 30th of March, 2020.
