YOU ARE OUR FORMIDABLE PARTNERS, AS ANLCA PRESIDENT CELEBRATES MARITIME WORKERS

Hon. Tony Iju Nwabunike, National President, Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agent (ANLCA)

The National President of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Hon. Iju Tony Nwabunike has commended the efforts of maritime workers in growing the port industry.
The ANLCA president had through a goodwill message to the President General of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Comrade Adewale Adeyanju congratulates all maritime workers on the May Day ( Workers Day) celebration yesterday.

In his message , the ANLCA president said “Today, we join to celebrate all workers all over the world, particularly you our comrades in the maritime industry.
We celebrate the Nigerian maritime worker sincerely, because we owe them more than they are paid and we know that without them a maritime nation, like ours, will never be existing let alone grow.”

Nwabunike further said that , MWUN and other workers in the maritime industry are formidable partners and their efforts are commendable for protecting interest of majority of Nigerians.

“We in the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) sees the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and other workers as our formidable partners.
We remember your efforts not only at protecting workers rights, but also at championing the interest of the majority of Nigerians.

“Indeed your acts of selflessness are second to none and has not gone unnoticed as we reminiscise on the benefits of your labour to our common good. We have on record, the many interventions you have made to suggest ideas and policies redirection for government, in many instances without promoting Industrial disharmony.

“We celebrate your contributions because without you our desires for greater economy, flourishing commerce, improved social life would have remained a mirage.
ANLCA’s partnership with you and the entire labour movement in the maritime industry will remain evergreen putting the interest of majority first and being truthful, fair and dedicated.”

Nwabunike described the maritime workers as vital elements to national economic life. He also said the workers are the ones in the frontlines in keeping our ports working even at this Coronavirus pandemic period.
“Indeed, you are a vital human element to our national economic life . There is dignity in what you are doing for us, we know it even though we don’t say it out everyday.

“You are our strength, you are our workforce, you are our persons on the frontlines of keeping the ports working even in the face of Covid19 pandemic that has affected everywhere, including the maritime world, Happy Workers Day
Solidarity Forever!!!”, he concluded.
