For the third month running in the year, the Federal Government has ordered its workers from SGL 12 and below to continue working from from in order not cause a new height in the cases of Covid19 in the Country.
According to a circular signed by Dr Folasade Yemi- Esan, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation titled ” Stay- at-Home Directive Continues” and addressed to organization heads , it was issued on 3rd March 2020 with circular No HCSF/3065/Vol1/68.
It reads “Further to the circular No HCSF/ 3065/vol1/68 dated 26th January, 2021 and following the advice of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on Covid 19, all officers on SGL12 and below are to continue working from home till end of March 2021.
“While it is acknowledge that there has been a reduction in the number of reported cases of Covid19 , it is important that this downward trend be maintained.
” It is to this end , that the work- from- home directive has to continue as specified above .It is also important to emphasize the need to ensure strict compliance with the existing guidelines on the prevention and spread of Covid19.
The statement concludes that all Permanent Secretaries and Executive officers are enjoined to bring back content of this circular to the attention of all concerned and ensure strict compliance.
