EXCLUSIVE: BLUE ECONOMY: Nigeria to Inaugurate 9- Member Coordinating Group

To further enhance and sustain the resources of Nigeria’s blue economy project, a team of eminent Nigerians under the Blue Economy Resources Group will tomorrow 15th June 2021 inaugurate a 9- member Blue Economy Coordinating Group.

The inauguration which will be performed by the immediate past Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside is scheduled to hold by 12noon. WAT through Zoom. The meeting ID is 2264634344 and the Passcode : 3zqTSa.

According to the details, the Chairman of the Blue Economy Coordinating Group Board is Hajia Lami Tumaka, while Mr Ojiji Oniri Onya Esq will serve as Managing Director.

Other members are, Alhaji Suleiman Adama, Executive Director and Alhaji Dikko Tahir Bala, Executive Director. While, Senator Folashade Grace Bent, Commodore Sunday D. Atakpa, Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere SAN, HRM Alhaji Munir Ja’afaru Esq and Mr Temisan Omatseye Esq are members.

It could be recalled that President Mohammadu Buhari alongside Ministers, Governors and the Armed Forces recently launched the Deep Blue project equipment to tackle pirates and criminalities in Nigerian waters and the Gulf of Guinea.
