Adeyemi Olaolu emerges NSC Staff Cooperative Society President

Mr Adeyemi Olaolu has been elected as the 8th President of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council Staff Multipurpose Cooperative Society. Olaolu was elected during the Cooperative’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held recently.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Council Hon. Emmanuel Jime and all the staff for believing in him and promised to give the corporative a new lease of life.

Olaolu said ” I am delighted to be here with you this afternoon. There have been few occasions where words have eluded me. But as I stand before you I find that there are no words that will effectively communicate the range of emotions that I am feeling the humility, the pride, the appreciation for the honour that you have bestowed on me and the confidence you have shown by electing me as the 8th President of this our great and noble society and for the hard work, loyalty, and commitment that you have shown.

“My sincere thanks to Executive Secretary /Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Shippers’ Council Hon. Emmanuel Jime for his support for the success of this AGM also to the past CEO for their positive contribution towards development and growth of this society

“The chairman of this occasion I say thank you for always being there for us anytime we call upon you, may the good Lord be with you. Our regulatory body I say thank you for valuable advice and guidance

“The Electoral Committee chaired by Mrs. Margaret Ogbonna and other member of the Committee for their hard work and dedication.This selection required their extraordinary and best efforts, and they gave nothingless.

“To my predecessor the one and only UBANDOMA a word is not enough for you with the way you transform the society with your amiable team. I say thank you

“Today I have prepared to put my leg into to the sandal you removed your leg, I promise you on behalf of the other executive that we will add value to it.

“The position of Cooperative President holds enormous responsibility, and it is position and responsibility that I accept while I continue to seek your support and input as we usher in a new era within ourselves.

“As you all know that a broom can easily broken, but bunch of brooms are virtually unbreakable. As a body, we have a common cause and shared values. We all have unique abilities but together we are stronger. Major reason for forming this society is for us to pool our resources together, define a structured plan and get to work inorder to look at the welfare of all members.”

Olaolu said he accepted the post of the President, with the full support of its members and will remain committed, motivated, energized, and engaged to the cause of society.

“As your President-Elect I believe that to whom much is given, much is expecte what I bring to our table are these skill sets, Build consensus and deliver results, establish trust, turn ideas into reality, doing the right thing at the right time for our society, also leading from the heart with a passion for the society”, he assured.

Other Executive members of the Cooperative are Imma Zaliha, Vice President, Engr. Nwel Mangu, General Secretary, Atuonwu Victor, Assstant General Secretary and Okon Chris, Treasurer . Others are Joyce Temisanren, Financial Secretary,
Matthew Oladunwo, PRO, Ambi Bashir Ex Offical I and Busayo Odu, Ex Offical II.
